A FAMILY-RUN removals firm has won a major contract move multi-national engineering services and consultancy firm Amec to its new North-East premises.

Watson’s Removals and Storage, which has offices in Darlington, Teesside and North Yorkshire, has assisted the firm in moving more than 500 office stations to its new offices at Darlington business park Lingfield Point.

The global company is the latest in a series of new commercial customers for Watson’s, with the removals firm adding new vehicle to its fleet to keep up with the demand.

Company owner Mick Watson said: “We’re delighted to have won this work and our reputation continues to grow in the commercial field and every opportunity that comes our way enables us to prove we are a professional team which prides itself on the quality of our customer service.”

Kevin Catterick, head of function at Amec, said: “Watson’s Removals provided a competitive price and were very flexible in working around our business needs. They delivered what they promised in a safe, friendly and efficient manner.”

As well as Amec, the removals firm also counts NIFCO, the Student Loans Company and Darlington Building Society amongst its clients.
