Turner Hire Drive moves into Hartlepool base

A VEHICLE hire company could create 12 new jobs after opening a North-East site.
Turner Hire Drive is now based in Hartlepool, specialising in van car and minibus rental.
The company, which employs about 80 people across the UK, is one of the largest independent fleets in the country and has depots in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Manchester.
It said it will be employing six members of staff at Hartlepool, which could rise to 12 workers this year.
David Hood, the company's sales and marketing manager, said: “This is really exciting for us as it means increasing our footprint in the North-East and we can now service our local customers from a local branch.”
The Hartlepool branch will be officially opened on April 2.
