Hendersons Carpets and Flooring, in Stokesley, North Yorkshire, enjoys sales increases
A FAMILY-RUN flooring company is savouring a special anniversary after marking ten years in business with an increase in sales.
Hendersons Carpet and Flooring, based in Stokesley, North Yorkshire, says it is benefiting from customers moving back to natural flooring and carpets after a rush for laminate products.
The firm, which employs three workers, was founded in 2003 by Carl Henderson and moved to Guisborough, in east Cleveland, before re-locating two years ago to Stokesley to continue its expansion, where it has continued to increase turnover, even during the recession.
His family have a 50-year history in the interiors and flooring business across North Yorkshire and the North-East, with Mr Henderson's grandfather and uncle setting up upholstery company Henderson Brothers in the late 1950’s, which is now run by his father and brother.
He said: “The last few years have certainly been challenging, but we’re really pleased that we took the decision to relocate when we did as it has really helped business.
“Stokesley is a great location for our business as we’re now serving a much wider area than in previous years, and we working with a greater range of clients with a wide variety of budgets.”
