Dawson and Sanderson to open branch in Durham City
A HOLIDAY firm is creating North-East jobs after revealing plans to open a new branch in the region.
Dawson and Sanderson, which last year celebrated its 50th anniversary, says it will open an outlet in Durham City this month, resulting in seven posts.
The branch will join the firm's store in Consett, County Durham, and the independent company now has more than 20 stores across the North-East and Yorkshire after opening its first in Ashington, Northumberland, in 1962.
Chris Harrison, sales and marketing director, said: “We are delighted to be opening a branch in Durham.
“We knew this would be the ideal spot for us, and although we have no immediate plans to open further branches, we are always on the look out for the right opportunities.”
