ONLINE fashion retailer Asos says it now serves more than seven million customers after a strong surge in sales.
The brand saw total sales rise by 47 per cent to £208m in the final quarter for the end of August, with customers increasing by two million and annual sales up 40 per cent to £754m.
The retailer targets fashion-conscious teenagers and young women wanting to emulate the designer looks of stars.
Chief executive Nick Robertson said: “Retail sales growth in the fourth quarter was strong in the UK and internationally, which was driven by France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
“We also saw strong growth in the US and Russia, and expect pre-tax profits for the year to be above expectations.”
Asos, which stands for As Seen on Screen, was founded in 2000, and wants to hit £1bn of sales by 2015.
