Intelect Group, based in Middlesbrough, reveals expansion plans
A NORTH-EAST mechanical engineering and electrical firm says it will create new jobs in a major expansion.
Intelect Group, based in Middlesbrough, has launched a Midlands division, which will operate near Leicester.
The company, founded in 1997, employs more than 100 people in Teesside.
It specialises in designing and building control panels, instrument services, and makes mechanical systems, working across the food and drink, water treatment, petrochemical and metal processing industries.
Bosses say they have already created ten jobs at its Midlands base, and want to double that number.
The move comes after Intelect expanded into North-East Lincolnshire, building a strong base in the food processing sector.
Fran Cormican, managing director, said: “We have a well-established business in Middlesbrough working on some very major contracts.
“We have been working with people in the Midlands for a number of years, providing skills and expertise from Middlesbrough and Grimsby, and this significant investment further shows our commitment to existing clients and job creation.”
