Southdale, which has offices in Darlington, secures North of England work
A NORTH-EAST construction and development specialist has secured contracts worth more than £40m for work across the North of England.
Southdale, based in Darlington, will work on 11 projects, including its North-East office looking after work worth about £10.5m across sites in Leyburn, North Yorkshire, for Broadacres Housing Association, in Middlesbrough, for Fabrick Housing Group, and in Stockton, with Vela Group.
The company, celebrating its 25th year in business, says the work also includes contracts worth a combined £20.85m in Yorkshire for Mulberry Homes, in Leeming, Sheffield-based Places for People, Yorkshire Housing, in Wakefield, and Doncaster's Jephson Housing Association.
It has also secured £11.46m work in the North-West for projects with Wulvern Housing, in Crewe, Great Places Housing, in Salford and Bury, and Peaks and Plains, in Disley, near Stockport.
Bosses say work will start immediately, with all contracts expected to be underway in January next year.
Paul Moore, Southdale managing director, said: “These contracts help us to build a strong base of work for the next 12 months and show a significant level of positivity and drive in the affordable housing sector across the North of England.
“We are confident that with projects such as these and others across Yorkshire, the North-West and North-East, we can continue to grow our business as we press on in a more positive economic climate.”
Earlier this year, Southdale formed Greendale, which delivers eco-funded projects and offers maintenance to home owners and landlords.
