Country sees first quarterly economic growth since 2011

SPAIN is officially out of a recession after seeing its first quarterly economic growth since 2011.
The country's GDP increased by 0.1 per cent between July and September, after contracting for the previous nine quarters, according to a report from national statistics agency, INE.
Spain was one of the countries worst hit by the global economic crisis, with riots and increased unemployment.
Thousands of people, who took to the streets last year to demonstrate against Government benefit cuts and called for more employment, saw their protests met by tear gas.
The INE says a rising number of exports supported the growth, with the tourist industry boosted by holidaymakers staying away from northern Africa and the Middle-East.
