UK Trade and Investment hosts export event
NORTH-EAST firms are being offered an insight into a world of opportunities in the UK Trade and Investment Export (UKTI) Week.
The event, which includes the Explore Export roadshow, aims to help companies start exporting or strengthen existing links.
The roadshow, which will visit eight regions, including the North-East, will feature more than 130 UKTI experts, who will share their experiences with companies.
It will also feature a number of areas, such as preparing to enter the global market, marketing to international clients, and a workshop on the North-East’s top five export markets and five markets with the greatest potential.
There will also be an overseas business event, as well as an inspiring females conference and the North- East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
David Coppock, UKTI North-East regional director, said: “The past year has been full of challenges for the region’s companies, but the North-East has enjoyed another excellent export performance for the year as a whole, with £13.691bn worth of goods and services exported around the world.
“We were delighted with the support for our previous Export Week, and we’re looking forward to welcoming as many of the region’s businesses as possible at our events this week so they can find out what opportunities are available in overseas markets.”
The event takes place between Monday, November 11, and Friday, November 15.
