A NORTH-EAST transport firm is celebrating its tenth anniversary with its busiest summer season.
Wicked Technical Services, based at Lingfield Point, in Darlington, provides specialist transport, crew and production services to the live entertainment and events industry.
Responsible for moving national tours and well-known events, it works across theatre shows, music events, festivals, conferences and exhibitions.
The firm last month helped musical Hot Flush come to Darlington's Civic Theatre, and is touring with the production on 60 locations.
It previously brought the BBC Blue Peter studio from London Television Centre to the University of Sunderland, with education bosses using the set to boost media students' studio skills.
Wicked employs more than 20 workers and freelance staff, with founder and company director Kevin Thwaites brought up in Bishop Auckland, County Durham.
Mr Thwaites worked as a technical manager in London theatres before returning to the North-East.
