A NORTH-EAST website design agency hopes to continue its growth after securing major contracts around the world.

Geonet Solutions, in Darlington, has won deals worth more than £50,000 and taken on four workers to deal with increasing demand.

The company creates unique websites and carried out work for Darlington engineering firm Whessoe and Sydney’s Aberdeen House, which supports the Australian government.

It has also worked with the Association of Air Ambulances and Teesside University, with further projects in Europe, the US and Canada.

Founded in 1997, the firm employs eight workers across Darlington and its base in York, and is run by Mike Overfield.

Mr Overfield said he hopes to add to its workforce and expand into new offices.

He said: “I’m extremely proud of the progress we’ve made in such a short period of time.

“The power of the internet is amazing, and it has allowed us to build relationships with clients in more than twelve countries around the world.”
