WORK has started on two office buildings that are expected to bring up to 12 businesses to the region and create about 700 jobs.
Developer Hillford Group, based at Lintzford, County Durham, is working on the latest phase of the Spectrum Business Park, at Seaham, County Durham.
The two buildings - Spectrum 4 and 5 - will each offer up to six self-contained offices once the ten-month construction is complete.
The current phase will leave just one remaining plot to complete the development, which forms part of a larger £300m scheme for the regeneration of Seaham.
The site is reclaimed coalfield land.
