TECHNOLOGY solutions provider Onyx Group said its turnover is set to more than double this year to £25m on the back of a series of expansions.
The company, which has bases in Newcastle and Middlesbrough, is opening its second data centre in Scotland in six months, which safeguards IT infrastructure and data storage, and can play a central role in a company’s disaster recovery strategy.
More roll-outs of the data centre facility are planned throughout the year.
As well as its two North-East bases and two recently-opened data centres in Edinburgh, Onyx also has bases in Glasgow and Slough, and an international base in Dubai.
Strong progress is also being seen from Onyx’s three acquisitions last year – Edinburgh- based Dundas, Newcastle Computer Services and Campbell Lee, in Scotland – which has seen it make its turnover prediction.
The group has already quadrupled turnover from £3m to £12m in two years, and that is now set to rise to £25m by the end of 2009.
Neil Stephenson, Onyx chief executive, said: “We are now able to offer a data centre, workplace recovery, consultancy and network support from four sites across the UK and this is a model we are looking to roll out as part of expansion plans to reach a turnover of £25m by the end of the year.”
