A NORTH-EAST hair salon has been named the overall winner at the British Hairdressing Business Awards.
Hooker & Young's Darlington salon was named Retail Salon of the Year at the ceremony held in London this week, beating three other salons on the shortlist to the award.
The awards, in their 14th year, are designed to specifically recognise and celebrate the business skills, commercial success and professionalism of the hairdressing industry.
A spokesperson for the salon said: "We are delighted to have won. This year has been an incredible one for the salon.
"To be recognised by your peers as being of one the country's leading hairdressing salons and being involved in the British Hairdressing Business Awards is both a wonderful feeling and a great achievement."
