AN article in The Northern Echo on Saturday, September 23 about a discussion by the North Yorkshire County Council Scrutiny of Health Committee incorrectly stated that a public consultation over mental health provision at the Friarage Hospital had flagged up issues over A&E staffing, anaesthetic cover and critical care.
Those issues were actually discussed in relation to a separate report on workforce challenges at the Friarage which was presented by South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The mental health report was from Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys Mental Health Trust and Hambleton and Richmondshire Clinical Commissioning Group.
We apologise for the error.
