This is the band specially assembled by bass player Arnie Somogyi to perform Charles Mingus’ inspiring music. And inspired they are in a moving and joyful album. The band includes contrasting saxophonists Tony Kofi and Alan Barnes, Jeremy Price’s central trombone and Mark Edwards and Clark Tracey completing the rhythm section.
