Durham Labour candidates hold surgeries

ALAN Hayton and Peter Thompson, Labour Party candidates in May’s Durham County Council elections, will hold three community surgeries in Durham on Saturday, February 23: at North Road Methodist Church, North Road, from 10am to 11am, the former Connexions office, Millennium Place, from 11am to noon, and Redwood Lodge, Church Street, from noon to 1pm. SUNDAY WALKS: Durham Rambling Club will do two walks around Pateley Bridge including Brimham Rocks on Sunday, February 24. They will be of nine and 12 miles. All are welcome. The cost is £10 per person, including coach travel. For more information, call 07706-871-812 or 0191-373-3429.
NFU EVENT: NFU Mutual will hold an information session about aspects of farming and insurance at Ramside Hall Hotel, near Durham, on Thursday (February 21) from noon to 4pm. For further details, call 0191-373-9452.
