Pools to get revamp

THE swimming pools at Chester-le-Street Leisure Centre will close for almost two months for refurbishment.
They will be shut from Monday, November 19 until Sunday, January 13.
A spruce-up and work on the tiling will will make the facility lighter and brighter.
Swimmers are being encouraged to use the pools at Freeman’s Quay in Durham and members will be able to use the pools free of charge.
Alternative arrangements have been made for the swimming club and swimming lesson programme and the rest of the leisure centre will operate as normal.
