FLOOD MEETING: Hurworth residents will meet representatives from Northumbrian Water on Thursday, November 1, to discuss flooding issues in the village. The meeting will be held at 6pm, at Hurworth Grange Community Centre. It will be followed by a meeting of the parish council.

TURBINE PLANS: Members of Darlington Borough Council’s planning committee will discuss plans for a three-turbine wind farm near Sadberge in a meeting at the Town Hall on Wednesday (October 24), at 2.30pm. More than 48 letters of objection to the proposal have been received.

ART WORKSHOP: Artist and art tutor Deirdre McCrimmon will be displaying a series of pastel portraits in the upstairs gallery of Had 2 Buy (CORR), in Bondgate, Darlington, until Friday (October 26). RABBIT SHOW: The North-East champion rabbit show was held at Hurworth Grange Community Centre, in Hurworth, near Darlington, on Saturday. Among the winners were Mrs K Tyson (best in show), Callum Patterson (best junior) and Mr A Belgian (best in show judge).
