A LIFESAVING air ambulance charity has been given a £500 boost to help keep its helicopters flying.
Staff at Frank’s the Flooring Store, whose head office is based on the George Reynolds Industrial Estate, in Shildon, donated £500 to the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
The store chose the charity as the workers felt it was a crucial charity worthy of support.
David Stubbs, the store's finance director, said: “We hope that the donation from Frank’s the Flooring Store can help to support the charity, to enable it to continue the important and life-saving work it carries out.”
Mandy Drake, deputy director of fundraising at GNAAS, added: “Donations are essential to the charity as it relies on this funding to be able to operate its three helicopters and support response staff.”
