Gig date: Sax Cymbals will play at the Barley Mow, Durham Road. Birtley, near Chester-le-Street, on Friday, October 26 at 9pm. Admission is free. Carers’ group: Carers Anonymous, a support group for people looking after substance misusers, meets on most Monday evenings from 7 to 9pm in the Bullion Hall, Bullion Lane, Chester-le-Street.
