FORUM MEETING: Residents are invited to decide how 4 Together Partnership money should be used in the Ferryhill area. A meeting will be held at St Luke’s Parish Centre, Ferryhill, on Wednesday, November 14, from 6pm. HALLOWEEN FUN: Fire jugglers and creepy crawlies are scare visitors to Hardwick Hall, Spennymoor, for a scary Halloween event. There will scary walks, face painting and games for all ages between 6pm and 8.30pm on October 31 with tickets £8 and family tickets £30. Details from 01740-621505.
HISTORY TALK: Monarch of the Glen writer Michael Chaplin will speak at Ferryhill History Society’s next meeting about the life of his novelist father Sid Chaplin. The talk Sid Chaplin – His Ferryhill Roots is at the Eldon Arms, Ferryhill, at 7.30pm on October 31, with entry free to members or £1.
