CORNFORTH PACT: A police and communities together (Pact) meeting for West Cornforth will be held in the Sure Start building at West Cornforth Primary School, on Wednesday, October 31, 5pm. Residents welcome, a police representative will attend to discuss local issues.
SECURITY WARNING: Police are urging motorists to secure their vehicles following a number of thefts from parked cars in the last week. An iPad stolen from a car in Spennymoor and two Bush in-car DVD monitors and Champagne gift sets taken from West Cornforth are still missing. Anyone with information is asked to call Spennymoor police on 101.
SAFETY EVENT: A free community safety event for the over 60s will be held at St Aidan’s Church, Chilton, on Wednesday November 14, 10am to 1.45pm. Along with advice there will be free entertainment, bingo, prizes and refreshments. To book a place call Phillip Marshall on 07850-916355.
