Heart of Teesdale Partnership to host first annual forum and open day
11:03am Wednesday 31st October 2012 in News By Stuart Laundy, Reporter (Barnard Castle & Teesdale)
THE work undertaken by the Heart of Teesdale Landscape Partnership since its launch in November 2011 will be highlighted at the group's first annual forum and open day.
It will take place on Saturday, November 10, at Startforth Morritt Memorial CE Primary School.
The forum, which will highlight the progress of various projects, will begin at 10.30am, followed by the open day, from 11.30am to 2pm, which will feature a number of activities including bird feeder and bat box making, willow weaving, hedgehog homes and tree planting.
Landscape partnership chairman William Weston said: “Activities during the first year have gained speed with smaller projects, such as Barningham Village Green blub planting and the St Farmin's Well project at Bowes complete, works in the centre of Barnard Castle imminent and several larger programmes underway.”
No booking is required, but anyone planning to attend is asked to contact community officer Sarah Smith on 01833-696211 so catering arrangements can be organised.
