DOZENS of vehicle badges were stolen during one night from a residential estate in Consett.
Up to 50 cars were targeted from Chapel Drive, Cotherstone Close, Gayle Court, Grassholme Close, Harwood Close, Holwick Close, Ovington Close, Redmire Drive, Seymour Street and Egglestone Drive in the Templetown area.
The badges were stolen from a wide range of makes and models, with most being from the rear of the vehicles. The thefts took place overnight between Saturday and Sunday October 27 and 28.
Police are investigating the offences as criminal damage and the officers dealing with it are Sergeant Chris Davies and PCSO Vikki Ord.
They are appealing for anyone information to contact them on 101, or through Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
