THREE teenagers are organising a football match in aid of a cancer charity.

The game between Newcastle United fans and Sunderland supporters is planned to be played in the Crook area on Wednesday, November 14, although that is subject to change.

It has been organised by 17-year-olds Matthew Burdess and Jonathen Miller (CORR) and Nathan Hanratty, 16, from Howden-le-Wear.

The game is being held to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care.

Matthew, who will be managing the Newcastle United team, said: “We hope to raise as much money as possible for the charity and reckon it should be a good night.”

Tickets for the game will cost £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for children.

Anyone wanting tickets or willing to donate raffle prizes for the event can contact Matthew on 07432-648072.
