HUNDREDS of enthusiasts converged on a North-East community centre for a toy and train collectors' fair.
The Bowburn Toy and Train Collectors’ Fair at the Bowburn Community Centre, in Bowburn, near Durham, featured an array of die-cast model cars, model trains and a Meccano exhibition.
One of the star attractions was a large Meccano model of Teesside's Newport Bridge, which took Joe Etheridge, of Peterlee, a year of painstaking work to construct.
It was a last chance to see the construction before he dismantles it to provide parts for his latest project - a bucket wheel excavator used on the oil sands of Alberta, Canada.
