POLICE are appealing for help to find the owners of a large number of horses which appeared on the streets of Newton Aycliffe last night.
A spokeswoman for Durham Police said 17 horses strayed onto roads in the Moor Lane and Greenfield Way area of the town.
Anyone with information about who might own the animals is asked to contact Durham Police on the non-emergency number, 101, quoting incident 0439 of December 17.
