Company looks for venue in Whitby for major horror attraction

WHITBY looks likely to be the venue for a major visitor attraction based on the legendary film studio, the Hammer House of Horror.

Paragon Entertainment, which designed York’s Viking attraction, the Jorvik Centre, has signed a deal to create the attraction.

The North Yorkshire company wants to create a series of attractions based upon the Hammer House of Horror.

The company last month signed an agreement for the rights to exclusively use the Hammer brand for the next ten years.

Chief executive of Paragon, Mark Pyrah, has said Whitby is top of his list of preferred locations for his attraction in the North-East.

The company now needs to find a suitable location within the coastal town.
