POLICE ARRESTS: A 36-year-old man has been charged with theft after a £900 clarinet was stolen from a shop in Darlington.
The man admitted further offences of stealing handbags.
Police have also charged a 38-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman with shoplifting after cosmetics and toiletries were taken from a shop in the town.
VEHICLE THEFTS: Police are appealing for information after two thefts from vehicles in Darlington.
A catalytic converter was stolen from a City Link van parked in Eskdale Street, Darlington, between December 24 and 28.
On January 5, number plates were taken off a vehicle parked in Outram Street, near to the junction of Duke Street.
