Free training for men on Spennymoor course

MEN can get an introduction to the plumbing trade at two free training sessions.
Training will be held at Spennymoor Community Fire Station, on Green Lane Industrial Estate, Spennymoor, on Wednesday, January 30, and Wednesday, February 6, 9.30am to 3pm.
The course is described as hands-on and will cover topics such as pipework and jointing pipes, soldering pipes and fittings, rewashering taps and float valves, heating systems and repacking a packing gland.
Participants will also learn how to fit an outside tap, install a washing machine and bleed radiators.
Sessions are free to all men over 19, a workbench and tools will be provided and a free lunch included.
All those completing the course will get a certificate of attendance and advice about moving on to courses such as DIY, electrics and plumbing level 2.

I'm all for training opportunities but why in this day and age are we restricting this opportunity to men!?!
