Bands to compete to play at Houses of Parliament

MUSICIANS and bands are being offered the chance to perform at the Houses of Parliament.

The Rock the House 2013 competition has been launched and Phil Wilson, the Labour MP for Sedgefield, is seeking acts to put forward.

The event seeks the best up and coming bands from across the country with every MP putting forward their favourites.

The competition has categories for solo artists, bands, under-19 solo artists, under-19 bands and best small live music venue. Applications from entrants will be accepted until March 1.

Mr Wilson said: “Rock the House is a great opportunity for aspiring artists of any age looking to find a way into the industry."
