Youngsters enjoy story time at library with fun packs

YOUNGSTERS are enjoying story-time at a library thanks to the donation of story sacks from a national developer building nearby.
Taylor Wimpey has given the story sacks to Bishop Auckland Library, in Bishop Auckland Town Hall, as its Highlea Gardens site neighbours the building.
Janet Strong, deputy centre manager at the town hall, said: “The story sacks are about making books fun and bringing stories to life.
“Each bag contains a number of resources such as props, scenery, games, and a CD of the story, which is designed for adults and children to enjoy reading together.
“We’re so grateful for such a wonderful donation and can’t wait to see more local children enjoy the story sacks.”
Joan Peart, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North East, said: “The library is a fantastic part of this community.
“As our Highlea Gardens development is welcoming more residents to the area, we were more than happy to dig in and help out where we could.”
