BUSINESSES are being encouraged to back a cultural festival in Darlington.
Darlington for Culture (DfC) is appealing for retailers and shop owners to host artists and their work during Darlington Arts Festival.
The month-long festival will take place in May at a wide range of venues across the borough and include a film festival, music events and writing workshops.
Yvonne Preston, event organiser and DfC committee member, said: “This is an excellent chance for shops and retailers to provide exhibition space to help the artists and themselves.
“Artists in the borough need to showcase their work and this represents a fantastic opportunity to do that.”
More details about the arts festival will be announced next month.
Any group or artist wanting to run events during the festival should contact darlo4culture@gmail.com or visit darlingtonforculture.org
