New boxing club for Brandon

A NEW village boxing club is hoping to punch above its weight.
The club began in Brandon, near Durham, on Tuesday (January 29).
Sessions will be held in Brandon Carrside Youth Club, on Carr Avenue.
Over 11s are welcome on Tuesdays from 6pm to 7pm and Thursdays from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
Sessions for under 11s are held on Thursdays from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.
The club is run by Alex Oliver, who is being supported by Robert Ellis, from Spennymoor Boxing Academy, and Brandon and Byshottles Parish Council.
Mr Oliver has boxed for 15 years, travelling all over the world and contesting 75 bouts.
