Man taken to hospital after being hit by car in Longfield Road, Darlington

A MAN has been taken to hospital with a broken ankle after he was knocked down on Longfield Road.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 7.10pm on Saturday (February 9) after reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a car.

A 51-year-old man was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital with a broken and dislocated ankle.

Witnesses are asked to call Darlington Police on the non-emergency 101 number.
