AIR RESCUE: The air ambulance lands on the Yad Moss slopes
A SKIER from the region has been airlifted to hospital after dislocating his shoulder at the Yad Moss slopes near Alston.
The Darlington man, believed to be in his fifties, was treated by paramedics from the Great North Air Ambulance Service before being flown to Hospital in Carlisle at about 4pm today. (Tuesday, February 12).
His injuries were not life-threatening and his condition was described as stable.
The Yad Moss ski slopes are run by volunteers at the hills off the B6277, 15 miles north of Middleton in Teesdale.
