St Nics launches open prayer sessions

A CHURCH is launching weekly prayer and listening sessions.
St Nicholas’ Church, in Durham Market Place, is making people available to pray with, pray for or listen to anyone who drops in between 12.30pm and 2.30pm on a Thursday.
Those available will be clergy, pastoral assistants or experienced listeners.
Visitors are also invited to light a candle to remember a person or issue of concern.
During December’s Christmas Festival, almost 300 people hung a prayer on the church’s “prayer tree”.
