Voting opens in Durham student elections

VOTING has opened in Durham’s student elections.

The Durham Students’ Union (DSU) has launched its elections for five full-time paid sabbatical officers for the 2013-14 academic year.

The candidates for DSU president are: Dan Slavin, Rosi Jelfs, Dave Eaton and Hannah Horton.

There is one candidate for Academic Affairs Officer: David Morris.

Those running for Activities Officer are: Mark Heads and Krystina Warrington.

There are two candidates for Community Officer: Grace Abel and Mohammad Anisur Rahman Jamil.

Ed Hauschild and Chris Pocock are in the running for Development Officer.

Voting closes at 5pm on Friday (March 1) and the results will be announced that evening in Riverside Bar and Cafe, Dunelm House.
