Indian buffet set to curry favour with gourmets

A FATHER and daughter have teamed up to open what is thought to be the region’s first buffet-style Indian restaurant.

The former Jeera restaurant, in Northgate, Darlington, has undergone a makeover and re-opened as Viceroy.

A launch event hosted by father and daughter Sirijul and Taslima Miah, on Wednesday (February 27) evening, was attended by more than 150 people.

Mr Miah will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the restaurant, aloing with other family members.

The restaurant is different from other Indian eateries as guests can choose from a range of dishes in a buffet format.

It is open from noon every day. For more information, or to book, call 01325-246086 or visit facebook.com/viceroybuffet
