Band night held to raise money for cancer charity

FUNDRAISERS have organised a music night featuring local bands to collect funds for a cancer charity.
The March of the Mods will feature six bands performing Shildon Civic Hall to raise money for The Teenage Cancer Trust.
Lisa Turnbull, of the Upbeats Scooter Club, Spennymoor, is organising the event that on Saturday (March 2).
She arranged the night after her partner, Trevor Redshaw, died of cancer.
The bands to perform - The Whodlums, New Age Jam, Circuit 69, Heavy Mods, 6 Nowt and Men Without Ties - are all local.
The March of the Mods is a national event featuring bands who perform at local venues to raise money for the charity.
Tickets are £5 and they can be obtained from the Civic Hall, on 01388-772902, or from members of the Upbeats Scooter Club.
