Just Learning nursery in Cockerton has Changed its name from Just Learning to Busy Bees. Mayor Paul Baldwin cuts the ribbon.
STAFF, children and parents at a Darlington nursery celebrated its change of name with a fundraising open day.
The Just Learning nursery, in Cockerton, will be opening under the Busy Bees name from Monday (March 4).
Darlington mayor Paul Baldwin cut a ribbon to mark an open day at the nursery on Saturday (March 2).
Families had the chance to see some of the refurbishments that have taken place in recent months.
There was also a range of activities, including face-painting, a tombola, games and a cake stall, as a well as a raffle to raise funds for Busy Bees’ nominated cause, Clic Sargent, a charity for children with cancer.
Although the nursery’s name has changed, the staff remains the same.
Nursery manager Suzanne Cartwright-Powton said: “We couldn’t be happier to be part of Busy Bees’ friendly team.
“We have had so much support and we’re thrilled with the refurbishment.
“I’m also delighted that we are able to stay as a team as we are one big family here, most of us have been here for a considerable number of years and simply love what we do."
