Events lined up to mark 120th anniversary of Christ Church, Hamsterley

A SERIES of events has been lined up to celebrate the 120th anniversary of a County Durham church.
Christ Church, in Hamsterley, will welcome opera star Graeme Danby back to his home village, along with Valerie Reid and the University of Sunderland choir for a performance on April 13.
Other musical evenings will feature Leadgate Gleemen, Janet Bennett, Consett Brass and the Glendale Singers.
The Bishop of Durham will also preach at one of the regular Sunday services on April 28.
