Ingleton Primary School pupils go the eggs-tra mile to raise funds for Barnardo's

EGGS-TRAORDINARY EFFORT: Ingleton Primary School pupils show off the eggs they used to raise money for Barnardo's.
PUPILS at a rural County Durham primary school went the eggs-tra mile to raise money for Barnardo's.
Youngsters at Ingleton Primary School, near Barnard Castle, were asked to boil an egg, decorate it and then look after it during the recent half term holidays.
The children were also asked to keep a diary of their egg's activities during their break.
Headteacher Judith Pressley said she was amazed at some of antics the eggs got up to.
“There was everything from a day out in Harrogate to having a facial at a hair salon,” she said.
“We have done this before. This is the third year we have done it with Barnardo's, but this is the most money we have ever raised - £423.10.
“All the money raised is spent locally on good causes,” she added.
