Art show has more than 100 exhibits

DARLINGTON deputy mayor Charles Johnson opened an exhibition featuring more than 100 works of art at the weekend.

The exhibition, entitled Building Bridges, will at The Bridge Centre for Visual Arts, in Yarm Road, until Thursday, March 28.

It features a range of works including textiles, ceramics, acrylics, oils and watercolours.

The Bridge opened last year and provides a community-led venue to support artists and encourage visual arts involvement in Darlington.

More than 400 pieces of work were submitted for Building Bridges, which were then whittled down to the final selections.
