Riding school offers non-riders the chance to "dare" to ride for charity.

A RIDING school is inviting people to donate money to charity and “dare” to ride a horse.
Aklemoor Riding Centre, near Reeth, in Swaledale, will be offering non-riders the chance to sit on a horse or have a short ride in the all-weather arena, and make a £5 donation to Comic Relief on Saturday, March 16, between noon and 2pm.
Centre owner Jane Baker said: “One of this year’s fundraising themes for Comic Relief is to do a dare so we thought it would be a great way for people who don’t ride but want to get involved to have a go at horse riding and raise money for a good cause at the same time.
“Our horses and ponies are used to being ridden by people who have not ridden before and we provide riding hats, so whether it’s just a quick sit on the horse or a short ride, it will be a great experience.”
Riders can weigh up to 14 stone, need to wear sensible shoes and dress for the weather.
