Darlington cyclists urged to record bike's serial number following rise in bike thefts
12:09pm Friday 8th March 2013 in News
CYCLISTS are being urged to keep a record of their bike’s serial number following a spate of thefts in Darlington.
Owners of mountain bikes are being asked to take note of their bike’s serial number, which is normally found on the frame underneath the pedals, following a rise in bike thefts across the town.
Police officers are also urging people to keep the receipts of their bikes to help with identification if any bikes are stolen.
Anybody with any information on suspected bike thefts is asked to call Darlington police on the non-emergency number, 101.
