GOOD TASTE: Soroptimist president Brenda Stokoe and catering students.
CATERING students at Darlington College prepared and served a selection of Italian food at a themed event held recently.
The event was organised by Soroptimist International of Darlington and District.
Green, white and red bunting made by Darlington Brownies helped to decorate the college restaurant, and about 60 Soroptimists, friends and family braved the snow to attend.
The club’s newest member, Lynn Kerr said: “It was a very enjoyable evening.
“The food was excellent and the service from the students was really friendly and efficient."
A total £420 was raised for three charities: Help for Heroes, David Rathband's Blue Lamp Foundation and Triple E, which is dedicated to improving the lives of street children in the Phillippines.
