CLUB AWARDS: Val Curry, Rita Whitehouse, Jane Currie, Julia Atkinson and Marsha Hillary with their flower club awards.
THERE was a healthy turnout at the recent annual meeting of Darlington Flower Club.
Members heard that the club had enjoyed a successful year.
Christina Stell was presented with her honorary secretary’s badge and Jenny Spivey was welcomed as a committee member.
Club Trophies were presented to Julia Atkinson, Marsha Hillary and Val Curry.
The meeting was followed by a colourful demonstration by Nick Grounds.
The next event for the Flower Club will be the Spring Fling on March 27 at Headlam Hall. Tickets are sold out and there is a waiting list for this popular charity day.
The next meeting of the Club will be held on Wednesday, April 3, at 2 pm in St Cuthbert’s Church Centre, when Kathleen Williams will give a demonstration entitled Going Dutch.
