Information appeal after three burglaries in Darlington
POLICE in Darlington have appealed for information about three separate burglaries in which a number of electrical items were stolen.
The first incident occurred overnight on Saturday, March 16, at a house on Beaumont Hill, off the A167, Darlington.
After breaking into the property, the thief found keys to two touring caravans located in a rear yard and searched both before going back into the house and climbing into the attic.
The thief also searched the garage, but made no attempt to break into a car parked there, before making off.
A second incident took place in a property in Wales Street, Darlington, between 1.30pm and 9pm on Sunday, March 17.
A brick was thrown through a pane of glass in the back door of the terraced property.
The following items were stolen: a black Acer laptop, valued at £300; a black iPod Nano, worth £125; a gold signet ring marked with the letters 'IS' and a black Panasonic F28 Lumix digital camera, worth £125.
A house in Scott’s Terrace, off North Road, in Darlington, was also burgled between March 1 and March 15 while the property was unoccupied.
The following items were stolen: a grey Acer laptop computer valued at £100; a Fuji Finepix digital camera with the serial number T4902520265364 F FX-A330-EGC, worth £100; a yellow toolbox containing screwdrivers and tools, worth £30; about 50 CDs, worth a total of £90.
It is not known if the three burglaries are connected.
